For a long time, I had a half-done real estate website on this domain and when I say half-done, I am being generous.  It was a custom coded ColdFusion site that I heavily neglected due to the fact that I never had any time to put into it.  The website was built from the ground up with no CMS to speak of, so maintaining it was time consuming.  Even though it was built in ColdFusion (a rapid application development platform) making any changes meant opening up my development environment and busting out the code.  Needless to say, it stayed broken and under developed for years.

The worst part of having a crappy website on this domain was that fact that the domain was my name (LouLynch.com) and grossly misrepresented me professionally.  I was faced with the choice of tearing it down and putting up a one-pager or installing a WordPress app and going to town.  So here is my first post using the Worpress app on the LouLynch.com domain name.  I expect I will be post other non-categorical content here but can’t make promises that it will totally represent me professionally (that would be boring as hell) or that I will be posting on a regular basis.

My career so far has been great and I absolutely love what I do.  The relationships I have developed both on and off line have really been great.  If by chance I do find the time to post some good quality content and the website gains a little traction, I may bring in some guest bloggers from time to time.  In fact, I think that LouLynch.com is the perfect place to slowly introduce some of the people I work, network and BS with during the course of my normal work week.
