I have been using Joomla for quite some time now, but I cannot overlook the user-friendliness that wordpress provides.

Probably the most important thing, if you want any kind of web design, is to set a budget.

How much work, X, is the designer expected to do for Y amount of money, in Z amount of time. Mission creep – fear it!

Also, what is the site supposed to _do_ for you. Many designers can create an impressive-looking site; then what?

WordPress’ plugins and themes are mostly limited to blogging. Joomla offers way more than that.

i think it’s great, that you have been able to keep the local focus that you seem to enjoy so much. it some local markets it becomes difficult to establish yourself, either because of lack of businness, or the wealth of competition. Great post !

I prefer wordpress because it’s really powerfull and simple at the same time. Of course Joomla is great CMS with much more functions and abilities but I’m closer to the WordPress for it’s simple engine.
